Police captain moves up to Billings assistant city administrator

Posted

BILLINGS – New Assistant City Administrator Kevin Iffland was introduced to the City Council Monday night.

Iffland accepted the job last week, moving from his position as Billings police captain, where he spent the last 23 years.

City Administrator Bruce McCandless called Ifland "very knowledgable."

"I think that you will enjoy working with him just as much as I am welcoming and appreciating his assistance. He will be transitioning from the police department to the administration office over the next few weeks, exact dates to be negotiated with the police chief," McCandless said.

Iffland will be paid close to $120,000 annually a year in his new job.
