Canadian man identified as Montana motorcycle fatal crash victim

The man who died in a motorcycle crash in Judith Basin County  has been identified.

Rex Handel, 52 from Calgary, Canada, died in the crash, according to R.J. Brown, the deputy coroner of Judith Basin County.

At 12:19 p.m. Saturday, Central Montana Dispatch in Lewistown received a report of the crash on US Highway 87 west of Hobson. 

Hobson Ambulance & Fire, Judith Basin County Sheriff/Coroner, and the Montana Highway Patrol responded to the scene.  

Handel was pronounced dead at the scene. He was alone at the time of the crash and it is believed to have happened on Friday evening.  

There has been no information released on the cause of the crash. The Montana Highway Patrol and the Judith Basin County Sheriff/Coroner are continuing to investigate.
