LOCKWOOD – Despite an all clear from the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office, Lockwood schools will remain in a "soft lockdown" for the rest of the week.
School superintendent Tobin Novasio said Thursday as a security precaution – the school will also keep a substantial law enforcement presence on campus.
The action came after a series or rumors concerning a threat to the Eileen Johnson Middle School.
Yellowstone County investigators told Q2 yesterday that threat was cleared.
Lockwood Schools will be let out at 11:30 a.m. Friday.. and the middle school’s eighth grade promotion ceremony has been moved to 1 p.m.
Those changes allow students to leave before visitors come onto campus for the ceremony.
