BROADUS – A man is dead after his vehicle collided with a semi-truck Saturday, according to Montana Highway Patrol.
The report stated the man was driving a Dodge Caravan and attempted to pass another vehicle westbound along U.S. Highway 212.
The man did not see the oncoming semi and both veered to the southside of the road, striking head-on.
Both vehicles caught fire, according to the report, and became engulfed in flames.
The driver of the Dodge was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, but was pronounced dead on scene.
The driver of the semi was uninjured.
MHP could not identify the victim. The investigation is ongoing.
This marks the 31st death on Montana roadways in 2018.
