MISSOULA – If you were downtown Missoula on Friday evening you may have noticed police activity.

The Missoula Police Department said the 200 Block of Higgins Ave. was closed off while a suspicious item was under investigation.

Police reported that, after an investigation by a special explosive ordinance team, the suspicious package turned out to be a rice cooker.

An adult male is in custody with two major warrants out of Lewis and Clark County, one for criminal mischief.

He remains in custody but was not charged with anything related to the "suspicious" package scare.
