BILLINGS – Bret Michaels, former lead singer for the band Poison, will play at the Rimrock Auto Arena during MontanaFair.
Michaels is scheduled for Sunday night, Aug. 12, according to Ray Massie, MetraPark Marketing Director.
Michaels has been performing since 1983, and plays glam metal, hard rock, country rock and country.
“It’s a big performance for us at MontanaFair,” Massie said. “All the night shows are really big performances for us, things that we really look forward to. We’ve had Lynyrd Skynyrd on that night before, Martina McBride performing on that night. So we’ve been looking at really high level, high quality acts for Sunday. And with Bret Michaels being available for us for all the Poison fans, this should be a lot of fun for classic rockers.”
As Poison’s front man, Michaels sang hits including "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," "Talk Dirty to Me," and "Look What the Cat Dragged In." After leaving the band, Michaels toured as a solo artist and launched a new career in reality television, starring in "Rock of Love" on VH1 and "The Celebrity Apprentice."
Tickets go on sale April 27.
Massie said another big act for MontanaFair will be announced on Tuesday.
