BOZEMAN – Montana State students had the opportunity to present their research to fellow classmates and members of the public today.

MSU undergraduate and graduate students presented their research at the Strand Union.

The research projects came from many different subjects ranging from the arts and humanities to the sciences.

The majority of research came from undergraduate research, which Montana State takes seriously.

“Undergraduate research is considered a high impact practice in education these days, but MSU is really a pioneering institution. We’ve had an undergraduate research program since at least 1994 and we really pride ourselves in putting resources behind our undergraduate research, we provide over $200,000 each year directly to undergraduates so they can participate in faculty-mentored undergraduate research projects,“ said Colin Shaw, Director, Undergraduate Scholars Program

Nearly 250 students presented today.
