ROUNDUP — The Montana woman killed in a near head-on crash south of Roundup Monday night was identified Tuesday.
Shannon McBee, 44, was killed in the crash, according to Musselshell County Undersheriff Shawn Lesnik.
McBee was a passenger in a vehicle driven by her daughter, who is pregnant, according to Lesnik.
The victim’s granddaughter was in the backseat behind McBee.
Only McBee was injured, according to Lesnik.
The accident occurred when two vehicles were passing on the south and northbound lanes, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.
The southbound vehicle crossed the center line and clipped the northbound vehicle.
The road was snowy and icy, and police are investigating whether drugs or alcohol were factors.
Lesnik said no other injuries were reported.
