BOZEMAN — Travelers flying out of Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport have a new option now.
The airport announced last week that Delta Airlines will begin offering direct flights to Seattle later this year.
Delta will join Alaska Airlines in offering direct flights to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
Airport Director Brian Sprenger says Delta’s new flight creates competition, which is good for the consumer.
“Well, I think the airport has reached a threshold where our growth now includes airlines looking at competitive markets,” said Sprenger. “I think Delta found opportunities in the Seattle market where they also have a large operation and they see opportunities even though Alaska Airlines is also flying that route.”
Delta's direct flights to Seattle will begin in December and tickets can be as low as $64 dollars one way.
