Update 7:40 p.m. While the majority of the Billings Fire Department was fighting the house fire, on Norwood Lane, 911 operators dispatched a second structure fire at 1807 Yellowstone at 6:45 p.m.
Heavy smoke was exiting the front door of the single-story midtown house.
Firefighters quickly doused the flames.
A fire destroyed a house on the 1600 block of Norwood Lane Thursday evening..
The front side of the two-story house was completely engulfed.
The call came around 5:30 p.m., and firefighters still knocking down hot spots with hoses from the ground and from above an hour laterr.
Four engines and one truck company were on scene.
