BILLINGS — In the wake of Monday’s cold front, winds have calmed down across the region.
Sunshine and less wind are the main features of the short-term forecast with above average afternoon highs on Wednesday and Thursday.
High pressure continues to build across much of eastern Montana and northern Wyoming through Thursday morning.
By Thursday evening, unsettled weather will move in along with showers, mountain snow showers and cooler northwest winds.

Today: Sunny and not as warm with southwest winds 5 to 10 mph and a high of 54.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy and mild with a low of 40.
Wednesday: Partly sunny and much warmer with a high of 72.
