Temps in the upper 30’s and low 40’s in and around the city. Mostly cloudy skies with a few flurries popping up.
Winter Weather Advisory in effect Sunday and Monday for Missoula, Bozeman, Great Falls and Helena areas. 1 to 3 inches in the Valleys and 2 to 5 inches on the mountain passes. 8 - 16 inches in the higher elevations (above 4000 feet). Could see 45 mph wind gusts in certain spots. Travel could be affected. Please slow down and use caution on the roads especially through mountain passes.
Winter Weather Advisory from North Eastern and South Eastern MT, along the Dakota boarder through North Eastern WY. Advisories in effect from today through tomorrow afternoon and evening. 1 to 3 Inches of Accumulation with winds 15-25mph, with 35 to 40 mph wind gusts possible. Use caution while traveling. Reduced visibility is possible, especially overnight.
Northwestern WY and Yellowstone National Park can also expect a few inches of snow and increased winds with 35 mph gusts the next 24 hours.
Tonight:
Continued flurries and wintry mix in and around the city. Snow in the mountains and surrounding areas. More accumulations the higher up you go.
Winds from Livingston, to Big Timber and up to Harlowton will continue to be gusty into the evening, but should be decreasing in strength.
Temps will be in the high 20’s and low to mid 30’s overnight.
Tomorrow (Monday):
Still Winter Weather Advisories east and south of the city. Big Horn Mountains could see 6”+ of snow.
Temps will be in the 30’s and even low 40’s in some spots, with some flurries and snow showers throughout the day.
Winds will pick up a bit as well. We could see gusts near 40 mph in some spots.
Tuesday -Sunday:
A breezy and windy week ahead as several systems cross the region. There may be some moisture with these systems, but other than a scattered shower here and there, most of the week should be dry.
Winds will pick up on Tuesday in the Livingston, Big Timber and Harlowton areas. Could see gusts 50 to 60 mph.
Temps will start mild for the being half of the week, in the low to mid 40’s and then drop down into the 20’s and 30’s by next weekend.
