MANHATTEN — Six earthquakes struck Manhattan Saturday morning between 2 a.m. and 9 a.m. The earthquakes ranged in magnitude from 3.5 to 2.0, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

The first earthquake, magnitude 3.5, occurred at 2:08 a.m. at a depth of almost 8 miles. The USGS reported five more quakes that followed throughout the early morning:

  • 3:55 a.m., 2.5 magnitude
  • 6:27 a.m., 2.8 magnitude
  • 7:37 a.m., 3.5 magnitude
  • 7:42 a.m., 2.6 magnitude
  • 8:44 a.m., 2.8 magnitude

People in the area posted on KBZK's Facebook page, saying they felt the quakes. There have been no reports of injury or damage so far.In July, a 4.0 magnitude earthquake that was felt as far away as Butte rattled Manhattan.
