BILLINGS — Update 3:50 p.m. One suspect has been arrested in connection with a Wednesday Billings shooting, and another is in custody after fleeing police Thursday, according to Billings police.

Marlin Parker, 24, is in custody facing charges of robbery, attempted deliberate homicide and felony possession of dangerous drugs, police said.

Parker is a suspect in the shooting of a 27-year-old Billings woman in the area of 924 S. 29th St. early Wednesday morning. She was taken to a local hospital and treated for a non-life-threatening injury.

Parker was arrested just after 9 a.m. after Billings police tried to stop a black SUV near the intersection of Hilltop Drive and Main Street in Billings, Lt. Brandon Wooley said in a news release.

The vehicle fled and crashed into a Billings police car near the corner of Sixth Avenue North and North 13th Street. No one was injured.

The driver, Marlena Bigday, 46, was arrested and faces charges of felony criminal endangerment, felony obstructing justice and other misdemeanor traffic offenses.

A third occupant in the vehicle, an 18-year-old Billings man, was released at the scene.

The shooting investigation is ongoing.

First story 2:30 p.m.: Two suspects, possibly involved in a recent Billings shooting, were taken into custody Thursday morning after a short police pursuit that ended when the suspect’s pickup truck crashed into another police car.

Lt. Brandon Wooley said Billings police attempted to pull over a couple of men on the north side this morning. Both were detained.

Wooley would not release what recent shooting the men were potentially involved in.

On Monday, a 17-year-old boy was shot twice through a home window on the Billings north side, and last Saturday a Colstrip woman was also shot in downtown Billings.
