The last event before COVID-19 at the MetraPark Expo Center was the Spring Home Improvement Show.
This weekend marked the first event open to the public with the Fall Home Improvement Show.
The number of booths was normal for the fall show at about 400.
The promoters say attendance looks good with people also coming in from the Gun Show at the Montana Pavilion and the PBR at First Interstate Arena.
The size of Expo Center allows for distancing and arrows on the floor keep foot traffic moving in the same direction.
COVID-19 safety protocols also include masks and sanitizer.
"We've worked closely with our local health department, Riverstone Health," said Mark Hedin, show promoters. "They can give us protocol as what we need to do out here. You still can events and remain safe. To date and this is Sunday, we have not had one incident out here. We want to keep Yellowstone County safe, but we also want people to live their lives again and get our economy going and we think this is a great way to do it."
Hedin's company Rimrock Promotions also puts on Brews and BBQ's and he says both events went well with COVID-19 protocols.
According to Hedin, the Gun Show is the first public event since COVID at the Montana Pavilion.
