Yellowstone County reports 3 additional COVID-19 deaths

BILLINGS - RiverStone Health reported Monday three additional Yellowstone County residents have died due to COVID-19 related illness. Yellowstone County now reports 122 county residents have died due to COVID-19.

On Tuesday, Nov. 17, a man in his 50s passed away in a Yellowstone County hospital, the public health agency said in a press release. His death was reflected on the Saturday, Nov. 28 state COVID-19 tracking map.
On Friday, Nov. 27, a man in his 60s passed away in a Yellowstone County hospital.

On Saturday, Nov. 28, a man in his 80s, who had resided in a Yellowstone County senior living residence, passed away in a Yellowstone County hospital.

One of the deaths of the men who passed away on Nov. 27 and 28 is reflected on the Monday, Nov.0 state COVID-19 tracking map. The other death has not appeared on the state map yet.

To protect the privacy of the deceased and their families, RiverStone Health will not release further information.

“I extend heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. I hope that they will find comfort in each other during this difficult time,” said John Felton, Yellowstone County Health Officer, President and CEO of RiverStone Health. “So far this month, we have lost 26 Yellowstone County residents to the pandemic. As the holiday season continues, we all must take precautions to prevent more families from experiencing the pain of losing loved ones. Please wear a mask, frequently wash your hands, keep your distance from people not in your household, and stay home when you are ill.”

To date, 11,045 Yellowstone County residents have been infected with COVID-19 and 122 have died.
