BILLINGS — Breezy to start and showers are possible. But overall a pretty quiet weekend ahead.

Temperatures stay close to seasonal averages through the weekend. For mid-February, that means highs in the upper 30s/low 40s and lows around 20, give or take a few degrees.

Winds will be brisk Friday, especially in the mountain foothills. Gusts of 50+ mph are possible around Livingston/Nye/Big Timber and Harlowton. Sustained winds of 15-25 mph near Billings.

A few isolated showers could develop, especially closer to the mountains. The best chance of rain and snow is late Sunday through Monday. Accumulations look light, but it could affect your commute Monday.

The overall trend is warming by next weekend.

Billings forecast:

Friday... Partly to mostly sunny with a high of about 41. Southwest wind 15 to 25 mph.

Friday night... Mostly clear with a low near 22.

Saturday... Increasing afternoon clouds and around 39 for the high.
