BILLINGS — Wednesday is cool in unsettled before a warm-up to end the work week.
Showers will be more numerous throughout Southeast Montana during the day, with more wind in the mountain foothills. Expected to be breezy and most locations at 10 to 25 mph with stronger gusts.
High temperatures will only be in the 30s to 40s Wednesday afternoon, far below the average of the mid to upper 50s for late October. Expect a cloudy to mostly cloudy day, but more breaks of sun in the afternoon.
Partly to mostly cloudy overnight with lows mainly in the 20s for a chilly Thursday morning start. Afternoon highs Thursday will be mainly in the mid 40s to mid 50s.
Temperatures soar to the 60s on Friday with a partly to mostly sunny afternoon. Winds will likely increase, especially from Billings westward towards the mountains. The usually wind prone areas around Livingston, Nye and Big Timber will see stronger gusts.

Wednesday night… Mostly cloudy with a low dropping to a chilly 28.
Thursday… Mostly sunny with a high at around 52. West breeze 10 to 20 mph.
