BILLINGS – Hot and dry weather ahead for the work week.

Sunday afternoon highs were into the 80s at many locations across Montana and northern Wyoming.

A few isolated showers and thunderstorms were popping up over mainly southwest Montana and northwest Wyoming.

Light smoke haze from the Alberta fires continued to thin out and move east with the westerly jetstream.

Aside from the chance for an isolated afternoon and evening shower or thunderstorm, expect daytime highs to remain in the 80s for most of the work week.

Cooler temperatures and scattered showers and thunderstorms will move in by next weekend.
