BILLINGS – Flooding concerns remain for some, but no additional rainfall in the short-term.
Recent heavy rains have caused the ground to be soaked in some areas and filled creeks and streams to bank full in parts of the region. While larger rivers will not reach flood stage, they will be running higher and faster closer the weekend.
Do not drive it through water-covered roads or around barriers. Use caution along the banks of fast-moving waterways.
Expect dry weather through Thursday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will redevelop Friday through Sunday, especially in some of the higher elevations.
High temperatures will hit the upper 60s to mid-70s Wednesday, and then routinely hit the 70s to low 80s through early next week.
A cold front will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms Monday.
Billings forecast:
Wednesday… Sunny with a high near 73. Light invariable wind.
Wednesday night… Mostly clear with a low of about 47.
Thursday… Mostly sunny and around 80 for the high.
