Q2 Weather: Rain and snow take a weekend break

and last updated

BILLINGS – A typical Montana and Northern Wyoming spring weather pattern means a little bit of everything in the next week.

Low clouds and fog will start the day Friday, so be aware of poor visibility and icy patches in some areas. Leave yourself a little extra time, and a little extra distance between vehicles on your commute.

Gradual clearing moves in for the afternoon and evening.  Regional high temperatures will be mainly in the 40s.

Overnight temperatures will be somewhat cool, dropping mainly to the upper teens and 20s by early Saturday. High temperatures will be in the upper 40s to mid-50s Saturday, and mainly in the 50s on Sunday and Monday.

A series of disturbances next week will bring the chance of off and on showers, but at this point no major weather systems are expected.

Billings forecast

Friday… Rain and snow showers early will taper off to a chance of sprinkles or showers in the afternoon. Decreasing clouds with a high in the mid 40s.

Friday night… Mostly cloudy with a low in the mid 20s.

Saturday… Sunny with a high in the mid-50s.
