BILLINGS – We go from sunny and warm conditions to rain and snow in just a few days this week.
As a high-pressure ridge moves in, temperatures will move from the upper 50s to low 60s Monday to temperatures well in the 60s with sunshine Tuesday afternoon.
In the mountain foothill areas to the west and south of Billings, the warm-up could cause some minor flooding with increased snowmelt.
But even by Tuesday evening, things begin to change to a cooler and wetter pattern.
Expect scattered rain and snow showers late Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. There will likely be some accumulating snow, especially in the mountain foothills. High temperatures will drop from the 60s on Tuesday to the 40s by Thursday and Friday.
Billings forecast:
Monday… Decreasing clouds with a southwest breeze 5 to 15 mph. High near 59.
Monday night… Partly cloudy with a southwest breeze. Low near 37.
Tuesday… Mostly sunny, and about 67 for a high. Southwest wind 10 to 20 mph.
