BILLINGS – Spring will arrive with sunshine and warmer temperatures
Spring officially begins this Wednesday, and Saint Patrick’s Day Sunday afternoon’s quiet weather pattern is a nice change from the past couple of weeks.
Steadily warming temperatures will increase snow melt, thus increasing likelihood for low land flooding. Area rivers and waterways are also likely to see some ice jam flooding over the next 7 days.
Aside from some minor shortwave disturbances today and Monday – possibly bringing light flurries to the mountains – area weather conditions will remain mostly dry.
Starting Monday, daytime highs will begin to edge above average for the first time in over 42 days. Look for highs to move towards 60 degrees by Thursday.
