BILLINGS – Bitter cold weather hangs in there

Wind Chill Warnings for much of Montana and eastern Wyoming have been extended through noon Monday. Wind chill factors of 45 below zero are possible across the region including the Billings area.

Wind Chill Advisories for other portions of Montana and northern Wyoming are in effect until noon Monday with wind chill factors of 40 below zero at times.

Billings set a new record low of -19 degrees early Sunday morning.

Other cold weather records up for grabs in the Billings area before Monday afternoon: A minimum high temperature Sunday afternoon (-1 degrees will tie the record) and a record low on Sunday night (-19 degrees will tie that record).
