BILLINGS – Bitter cold wind chills for Tuesday with more snow to come.
Winter Storm Warnings, Wind Chill Advisories and Winter Weather Advisories once again stretch across the state Tuesday morning as the unusually cold and snowy weather hangs on.
In addition to Tuesday’s light snowfall, more Pacific precipitation streaming in from the west could bring another 2 to 4 inches of snow to the Billings area Wednesday through Thursday evening.
Wind chills of -25 to -35 are likely across the plains Tuesday, along with blowing snow and reduced visibility.
A slight reprieve from the bitter cold temperatures is expected Thursday. Ironically, Thursday’s forecasted high of 22 degrees is what the average low is for this time of year. An average high for late February is 43 degrees.
Expect daytime temps to crash back into the low single digits by the weekend.
