BILLINGS – Wednesday marks the beginning of a warm-up that could see a cold finish by the weekend.
With a mix of clouds and sun, temperatures Wednesday afternoon will end up mainly in the 30s, close to seasonal averages for late January. Expect highs in the 20s in the Eastern Prairies close to the Dakotas.
Winds will increase around Livingston and Nye today, with wind gusts of 45 mph possible through Thursday.
Temperatures will nudge upward the next few days. Some of the area, including Billings, could approach 50 degrees on Friday and Saturday. Overnight temperatures will be mild in the 20s to low 30s
Colder air arrives with a good chance of snow on Sunday. Expect lingering showers and much colder temperatures early next week.
