BILLINGS – The weekend will be filled with wind, periods of showers, and changing temperatures.
For Friday, light snow showers will continue off-and-on across Eastern Montana leaving a light accumulation. Billings could pick up a light snow shower. Otherwise, expect a cloudy to mostly cloudy day.
Winds will increase in the mountains west of Billings, with gusts around Livingston, Nye, Big Timber, and Harlowton at 40 to 50 mph.
Around Billings, expect sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph. This pattern will continue through Sunday afternoon.
Saturday remains fairly quiet overall, but winds will be gusty from Billings westward. Morning temperatures will start mainly in the 20s, and warm mainly to the upper 30s to mid 40s.
By Sunday, temperatures remain mild with much of the area starting in the upper 20s to 30s in the morning and heating to the 40s for the highs. But winds will be gusty as a cold front moves through producing areas of rain and snow showers.
Temperatures will drop quickly with Monday afternoon highs mainly in the 20s.
