Q2 Weather: Warming ahead but so is wind and more snow

BILLINGS – Through the weekend, some definite ups and downs in the temperatures and in the chance of snow.

Thursday will be mainly about cold temperatures, with the chilly morning readings and the fresh snow on the ground. Highs will be mainly in the 20s.

Winds will increase during the afternoon and evening, with the strongest gusts around Big Timber and Harlowton to about 40 to 50 mph. Periods of wind will continue through Sunday.

Friday will be milder, starting with readings in the 20s in the morning and ending into the 30s in the afternoon. Clouds will increase with a chance of mountain snow and light snow across the plains.

Saturday and Sunday will trend warmer with highs in the upper 30s to 40s. But expect a windy day Saturday, with additional showers likely on Sunday.
