BILLINGS – A couple more mild days before cold air arrives, and snow seems likely.
Tuesday is still mild, with sunshine and mainly upper 30s and low 40s for highs. Winds will be light, and shift from south to easterly.
Wednesday will average slightly warmer despite increasing afternoon and evening clouds. Mountain snow is expected by Wednesday night.
Winter weather will return Thursday as colder air moves in from Canada. Mild temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday will be replaced by highs in the 20s and overnight temperatures in the single digits and teens.
It is a safe bet it will get colder, and it is likely it will snow, especially sometime Thursday night and possibly through Saturday. Travel may be difficult Friday morning.
However, this forecast is far from a slam dunk, and the amounts and duration of the snow are unclear. Please keep checking back.
