Q2 Weather: Snow stays mainly east of Billings with a chilly week ahead

BILLINGS – Snow is around, but concentrating on areas east of Billings for the rest of the weekend.

With snow decreasing from Billings westward, the National Weather Service has canceled the Winter Weather Advisories for Yellowstone County and eastern Carbon County. Expect light snow or even a rain/snow mix for these areas, including Billings for Saturday.

Areas east of Billings toward the Dakotas will continue to see additional accumulations with travel concerns continuing. Expect periods of snow through Sunday.

Highs will be in the mid-to-upper 30s Saturday, and upper 20s to mid-30s Sunday.

A few snow showers will develop Sunday as high pressure from Canada pushes the snow band westward.

A dry but chilly air mass will bring us generally clear to mostly clear days.  Highs will be mainly in the 20s and low 30s and low in the teens to low 20s most of next week.
