BILLINGS- Cooler-than-average temperatures continue with showers possible.

After some patchy morning fog in places, Monday afternoon becomes partly sunny with high temperatures mainly in the 40s to low 50s.  Expect a light east breeze.

Areas of southeast Montana and northeast Wyoming are on track for 1 to 3 inches of snow in some places, including the Bighorn Mountains. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for these areas through early Tuesday.

Scattered rain and snow and chilly temperatures continue Tuesday and Wednesday.  Highs Tuesday will be mainly in the 40 to 45-degree range with readings only in the 30s Wednesday afternoon.

By Friday, winds will increase, and so will temperatures with highs reaching mainly the mid-to-upper 50s.  That is closer to seasonal averages.

Billings forecast:

Monday… Partly sunny with a high of about 50.  Light easterly breeze.

Monday night… Mostly cloudy dropping to around 32.

Tuesday… Partly sunny early with increasing afternoon clouds and a chance of a shower increasing through the evening.  High near 44.
