and last updated

BILLINGS – The week starts with a sudden turnaround from Sunday’s chilly and wet weather.

Warmer and drier weather is on tap for Monday, with afternoon temperatures reaching the mid 60s. Areas of low clouds and fog will give way to a mostly sunny afternoon.

Winds will generally be light, and the humidity will drop.

Tuesday will start with readings in the 40s, and warm to the upper 60s to low 70s. Expect clouds to increase Saturday afternoon as a cold front moves and later in the day.

A disturbance Tuesday night will bring cooler temperatures and a chance of rain showers and mountain snow for Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Expect cooler than average temperatures, with scattered showers through the weekend. There are indications more snow could arrive during the weekend.

Billings forecast:

Monday… Areas of patchy morning fog, otherwise mostly sunny with a high near 66. Light westerly wind.

Monday night… Mostly cloudy with a low of about 46.

Tuesday… Increasing clouds with a high of around 71. Showers move into the area by the late afternoon and evening.
