Q2 Weather: First day of fall brings showers and cooler temperatures

Posted

An approaching cold front will stir up storms across the region tonight.

I’m targeting the evening hours, from 6 til around 9 pm for showers and thunderstorms.

We can expects some showers, gusty winds and scattered thunder and lightning as this line of storms passes though the area.

Things will clear up slightly in the morning hours on Monday, but another wave of energy passes through our region Monday afternoon popping up some more scattered showers and storms.

Temperatures stay very fall-like on Monday with highs right around the 60 degree mark.

The rest of the week is where the weather picture gets a bit hazy, right now there is a good amount of uncertainty in the forecast, but the potential for a big cooldown next weekend is in play.

This is something we will be monitoring as the week goes on, but right now I am leaning towards keeping temperatures on the cool side for my late week forecast.

We can expect more rain Thursday into Friday and high temperatures dropping towards the 50 degree plateau.
