HELENA — Gov. Steve Bullock’s presidential campaign said it received contributions from all 50 states during the first day of the campaign.

In a news release Wednesday, campaign officials said donations totaled $1 million.

Bullock launched his campaign Tuesday in Helena. He joins a field of nearly two dozen Democratic candidates hoping to challenge President Donald Trump in 2020.

How do Bullock’s totals compare to current front runners Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden?

According to CNN, Joe Biden raised $6.3 million in the first 24 hours of his campaign. Sanders raised $5.9 million in his first day.

From Helena, Bullock headed to Iowa, the home of nation’s first presidential caucuses. He will stop in nine cities over two days.
