MSU, other universities encourage students to be responsible during St. Patrick’s Day

Posted

BOZEMAN – With St. Patrick’s Day upon us, especially for college students looking to enjoy their Spring Break, universities encourage them to celebrate safely.

Montana State University agrees.

While many students leave campus, some do stay.

While the university doesn’t have any history of St. Patrick’s Day traditions, it hopes its students stay safe.

“We hope, of course, that our students who stay around town and choose to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day do so in a safe and responsible manner,” says Michael Becker, MSU spokesman. “With everybody out of town, on Spring Break, we of course hope they have a very restful and safe holiday.”

MSU officials say campus police stay vigilant during the holiday even though many students are on vacation.
