Government employees working for the United States Court for the District of Montana will soon be working without pay.
The federal judiciary has been maintaining operations with existing balances from fees and appropriations.
When those resources are exhausted, the court will operate the Anti-Deficiency Act.
This will limit their work at all five courthouses and three satellite and pretrial service offices.
Staff will work full-time, travel will be restricted, and activities that are not essential will be suspended.
