The investigation continues into the deaths of several horses found in Roosevelt County on the Fort Peck reservation.
According to the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office, they are currently interviewing people in several counties.
In late August, Fort Peck tribal authorities found nine mares and five colts dead with no water source nearby, according to Tribal Councilman Jestin Dupree.
There is no word how long the horses were there or who left them.
The sheriff’s office hopes to have more information about the investigation next week.
