BILLINGS — The 8th Annual Big Sky Youth Event gave children a chance to learn about the outdoors.
Ducks Unlimited and several other groups taught children about guns and archery at the Blue Creek Shooting Complex on Saturday.
The event encourages kids to enjoy the outdoors.
"It's important they get out learn about conservation together,” said Beverly Wornom, Montana Ducks Unlimited Recruitment Chair. “Learn about wildlife, get outside, see what's out there, see if they might have an interest that they come across that they didn't know they had. We encourage them to be out and encourage their parents to come out and spend a little time together."
Ten conservation and sportsman groups put on the Big Sky Youth Event.
