Billings school officials said the lockdown at Bench Elementary has been lifted.
"Everyone is safe and there were no threats in the building," officials said in a Facebook post. "Normal school operations have resumed."

BILLINGS - Billings Public School officials announced Wednesday morning that Bench Elementary had been placed on lockdown.
In a Facebook post, school officials said the lockdown was a precautionary measure "due to a disruption in a nearby neighborhood."
The school was working with the Billings Police Department, the post states, and all staff and students were safe in the building.
