Update 8:45 p.m.- A man stole a car at the Four Dances Recreation Area Friday night, led law enforcement on a short chase, then crashed on Coburn Road in Lockwood, injuring himself and another woman.

Yellowstone County deputies received a call about 7:30 p.m. from the Four Dances caretaker of an apparently intoxicated man wandering around the hiking trails, Cpl. Dylan Korth said.

The man was driving erratically south on Coburn and soon drove off the side of the road and into a side ditch, Korth said.

The man and another woman were injured and transported to a local hospital. Korth said authorities are unsure if the woman was in the car, but she appeared to know the man.

The Montana Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
