BILLINGS- Firefighters extricated a driver from a mini van after it collided with a parked semi on Billings South Side around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The accident occurred on Fifth Avenue South just east of South 33rd Street.
The driver was headed east on Fifth Avenue, sideswiped a parked car on the 3300 block and then crashed into the semi, Billings Police Sgt. Clyde Reid said.
The driver was the only occupant in the mini van, and the utility truck was not occupied, according to Billings police.
The man was removed by Billings firefighters and transported to a local hospital. The extent of his injuries were unknown.
It’s too early to determine whether speed, alcohol or drugs were a factor, Reid said.
