BILLINGS- A vehicle struck a steel column in front of the Boy Scouts of America building on Billings West End Friday afternoon.
No one was seriously injured, and the building’s owner said major damage was avoided.
The crash happened just before 1:40 p.m. at 1310 24th St. W. when a woman in a black SUV accidentally accelerated instead of braked.
Had the steel column not been there, the vehicle liklely would’ve gone right through the building, the owner said.
Billings police, firefighters and an ambulance responded to the scene.
