BILLINGS- A female occupant of a Billings Heights duplex was taken by ambulance to a local hospital Thursday afternoon after escaping a fire inside the residence.
Billings Fire Department Battalion Chief Kevin Johnson said the woman’s injuries were not life-threatening.
The fire at 1327 Yellowstone River Road was reported around 2:20 p.m. Thursday. Johnson said the fire was contained to one room in the duplex and was quickly put out.
Billings police temporarily closed Yellowstone River Road during the fire.
The Billings Fire Marshal Bureau has been called to investigate the cause of the fire.
