BILLINGS – The MacIntyre family, who now have ownership over the building that houses Pug Mahon’s, plan to sell the building.

Employees of Pug Mahon’s, Guido’s and The Bookie Casino were told Monday night that the building would be locked come Saturday night.

Bill MacIntyre, known by many as “Mac,” owned the building and operated both Pug Mahon’s and the Bookie.  He owned Guido’s as well before gifting that business to Alyssa Landsverk last year.

Kevin MacIntyre, Bill’s brother who owns the Fiddler’s Green Sports Bar, said they plan to sell both the building and the liquor license together, per Bill’s wishes.  His hope was that someone would open a restaurant and bar there again, whether it be in the Pug Mahon’s name or something else entirely.

MacIntryre said it has been a rough week for their family.  Bill, 77, died of cancer on Saturday morning.  His older brother, who was living in Detriot, died just hours later.

A funeral will be held for Bill on Feb. 1 at St. Thomas Church.  A reception will follow at the Knights of Columbus.  The public is invited to attend.
