Firefighters put out a grass fire north of Billings Friday evening.
It happened a little before 5 pm, near Alkalai Creek Road, northwest of Skyway Drive.
The fire burned 136 acres, according to Fuego Volunteer Fire Company Chief Marc Osborn.
A county bulldozer put down a line, which contained the fire around 7:30 pm.
Osborn said the call went to fire departments around Yellowstone County.
Crews from Shepherd, Laurel, Lockwood, Broadview, Blue Creek and Billings responded.
Yellowstone Valley Electric Cooperative and Northwestern Energy checked power poles.
