BILLINGS – The Billings City Council voted Tuesday in favor of a new contract with the Teamsters Union.
The council unanimously approved the deal that the union voted to accept last month.
The contract will go into effect retroactively from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2021.
It guarantees employees a 2.9 percent cost of living increase for each of the three years at a cost to the city of around $697,000 a year.
Teamsters 190 represents the largest share of Billings city workers, around 420 employees.
