BILLINGS – One man is dead after a single vehicle rollover crash near the Pryor Creek Road exit on Interstate 90 just after noon Tuesday.
Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Luke Knaff said the crash occurred when the driver of the vehicle over-corrected, causing the vehicle to veer off the interstate, and rolled through a ditch.
The passenger, an 84-year-old man, was taken by life flight helicopter to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries. The westbound lanes of I-90 were closed for a short period of time to accommodate the helicopter.
The driver, a 36-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital by ambulance with what Knaff said appeared to be minor injuries.
Neither of the occupants was wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
