BILLINGS- The November general election is still 11 days away and so far absentee ballots are being returned to the Yellowstone County elections office in record numbers.

Elections Administrator Bret Rutherford said Friday over 36,800 absentee ballots have been returned.

Rutherford said more than 33,000 absentee ballots are still out to voters that have not been returned.

This number is up from the 2016 election by more than a thousand ballots, said Rutherford.

To make sure your absentee ballot counts, Rutherford stressed ballots be mailed back to the elections office by next Tuesday at the latest.
