BILLINGS – What some view as trash, others see as material for works of art.
That creativity was on display at the Rescued and Reclaimed Vintage Market at the MetraPark Expo Center on Saturday.
Vendors from six states brought their art and re-purposed goods to Billings.
Some turn old material into art while others might refurbish it.
The vintage market theme started about seven years ago in the southern part of the country.
“When you’re dealing with antiques, you’re always learning,” said Joel Hageman, co-promoter for the event. “You’re always learning new ideas. You’re always learning new things. Where it came from, different uses. I always have a lot of questions. What was that used for? Sometimes you don’t know. The creative part of it is what drives our vendors.”
Rescued and Reclaimed has a similar show, Country Christmas, on Dec. 1 at MetraPark.
