BILLINGS- Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash when a pickup was heading the wrong way on Interstate 90 on Billings West End Thursday night.

Just after 8 p.m., law enforcement responded to a call of a male driver who had collided with two other vehicles near the King Avenue West interchange while traveling west in the east bound lane, Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Benjamin Kecskes said.

The pickup had traveled about 400 yards on the Interstate before the accident occurred, Kecskes said. An oncoming commercial vehicle then collided into one of the vehicles in the crash, he said.

Wreckage was seen for yards along the road.

The driver of the wrong-way pickup and another driver were taken to a local hospital. Drugs and alcohol are suspected, Kecskes said.
